interview: daydream lily.

Liss from Daydream Lily

Tell us a little about yourself and your blog.
I've been blogging 6 years now and my blog has seen me through so many stages of my life. In fact its been with me since leaving uni and now being engaged with a little one on the way!  My blog has been a reflection of all the things I'm loving mostly in the areas of fashion & photography, with bits of art, home & vintage inspiration. I also share a lot of my own film photography.

How did you first get into fashion and blogging?
I'd been blogging a few years before I really started getting interested in fashion blogging. It was around the time I did my first collection with Element Eden. Being involved in the process of seeing a collection come to life, from the moodboards to the picking of fabrics was very creatively inspiring. I was finding a new appreciation for the art of fashion and that started coming through in my blog.

Where are some of your favourite places to shop?
I'm a huge online and markets shopper, I'm naughty and keep a few pieces from my own online shop I run with Jen  My favourite designers/labels are Secret South, Arabella Ramsay, Maurie & Eve, Lilya, Element Eden infact most my wardrobe is those designers mixed with vintage and market finds. Oh and for shoes I love The Horse.  And I can't forget Gorman, I think that's my Melbourne roots showing.

Which bloggers do you look up to and why?
My favourite bloggers are also ones I've become good friends with, Amanda of Here Comes The Sun, Ally of Substance, Jasmine of Friend in Fashion to name a few. I often follow blogs that think I could be friends with this person.  For kids fashion & home inspiration I'm absolutely in love with Bleubird Vintage, her whole family is the cutest.

Sam from Style By Kys wants to know: If you could shoot in a place, anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Vietnam! I once blogged an editorial from Free People that was shot in Vietnam and it has stuck in my memory ever since. The colours and scenery in Vietnam make for an amazing backdrop for a shoot.
Also you cant go past a shot in Palm Springs!!! I want to go to California just to go to Palm Springs for a shoot.

What should we ask the next interviewee?
What is your favourite camera to shoot with and any tips for taking blog photos?
