winter in sydney (ASOS state of fashion).

Recently I was approached by ASOS to enter their latest campaign 'State of Fashion' to celebrate the diversity of Australian weather and style.

Winter in Sydney is a funny thing. We've only just entered winter but the day before we hopped into the cold of winter it was ridiculously hot. Sydney's winter is freezing cold in the morning and night but relatively warm in the day so you've got to learn to dress accordingly or else you risk being frozen to death or sweating through the thick pieces you settled on in the freezing morning. So the best thing to do to counter Sydney's winter? Layering.

I will always wear a thin or even short sleeve top or dress under my mountain of winter layers.
This look is something I would wear most days through winter. Under the striped shirt (which is only 3/4 sleeved) I would wear a singlet JUST IN CASE a freak heat wave hit in the middle of the day, then layer with coats, scarves and possibly a jumper.
During winter I also love wearing my closed in shoes to keep my tootsies warm, but it also helps with walking through the dewy grass in the morning.

In conjunction with ASOS's 'State of Fashion' they have an awesome competition going - upload your autumn/winter look to be in the running to win $1000 to spend at their online store! That's a LOT of fantastic goodies!
So what are you waiting for? Get submitting!

PS: While you're there:
