deshabille 2013.

Last week I had the pleasure to attend Deshabillé x Pink Hope Mother's Day lunch at Pink Salt with my mother dearest (pictured below). It was the first event my mother has ever attended with me and she felt so honored to have had the opportunity to see first hand what I do for my blog - a mysterious online thing I spend a lot of time working on. She was absolutely stoked to see what I do when I attend events - mainly run around taking photos and on my phone - and to meet my friends. 
My mum has always been really supportive of my love for fashion and my venture into the fashion world on both my blog and my eBoutique. I'm so glad I was able to give her the opportunity to see what I do and love.

Now onto the gorgeous jammies and loungewear I got to have a sneak peek of.
This year Deshabillé brings to the table several gorgeous new prints in various cuts, think one print but available in shorts, pants, button up shirt, gown - just to name a few. 
What I love about Deshabillé is that their jammies and loungewear can be worn out and about, from couch to shops without needing to change is a dream come true for a lazy-bones Maggie. But what I love most about Deshabillé is their annual collaboration with breast cancer awareness community Pink Hope.
Each year Deshabillé collaborates with Pink Hope to create a unique print (the gorgeous pink shorts and collection pictured below) where 50% of the profit goes towards the awareness community.

And finally, the food.
We were served spectacular food from Pink Salt's Mother's Day menu. My mum chose the salmon fillet with fennel salad while I had the chicken with tempura zucchini flowers as our mains. The mains were absolutely delectable but the desserts, oh the desserts, they were the star of the show!
There were three desserts to choose from, I managed to sneak a photo of the third dessert, all of which were gorgeously presented.
My mum chose the coconut and lime parfait - which she loved and polished off completely, and she is NOT a dessert person. I had the Oliver's Twist which had the mouth watering toasted marshmellow with strawberry custard and homemade sour strap. The third and final dessert was the passionfruit meringue - which was gorgeously presented with passionfruit in their shells served with a shot of passionfruit sorbet.
My mother and I agreed we've both never had such a delicious and filling meal - we'll definitely be taking the rest of the family out to try Pink Salt very soon!

A huge thank you to Deshabillé, Pink Hope, Pink Salt and Portobello PR for inviting my mum and I. This was the best mother's day gift I could ever give her.
