This month we were lucky enough to interview the gorgeous Sydney-based blogger Jacqueline (or best known as Jacquii) from Couture Caddy. She's a green tea enthusiast and, not so secretly, dreams of being a Disney Princess. Read on to see what inspires her and more!
How did you first get into fashion and blogging?
I’ve always loved styles and clothes but it wasn’t until I did my Masters in Art and Design that I really began pursuing a career in fashion. I just fell in love with the industry through magazines and watching Fashion Week on the news. It’s funny, blogging really started as a way of posting the dresses I liked on the red carpet that were never featured in magazines, I felt like their moment had missed out and wanted to document those looks.
Where are some of your favourite places to shop?
Oh boy, as Margaret can tell you this is a dangerous question for me. I’m an official shopaholic. My favourite place to shop would have to be David Jones and Myer they have an incredible array of homegrown talents such as Camilla and Marc, Zimmermann, Bec and Bridge and Sass and Bide to name a few. Internationally it’s the usual suspects, Topshop in London, H&M and Forever 21 in the USA, Zara, Bergdorfs and Bloomingdales in NYC.
Which bloggers do you look up to and why?
Nicole Warne from Gary Pepper Vintage and Margaret Zhang from Shine by Three. The way they have elevated their blogs to the next level is so inspiring. Their shoots are always so stunning and incredible yet relatable. They’re amazing people in person as well, so lovely and down to earth.
Laura fromWrinkle In Time Vintagewants to know: If there was one brand/person/company you could work with through your blog, who would it be and why?
Oh gosh, overseas or here? That’s a hard question! Overseas I think it would definitely have to be Alexander Wang, Balmain or Phillip Lim. They’re so iconic and their styles always take my breath away. Here I honestly couldn’t pick, we are so spoilt for choice with such great Aussie designers!
