Laura from Wrinkle In Time Vintage
My blog started as an outlet for me to advertise the business venture I was attempting at the time, selling vintage online. Which explains the blog name. In a year it has turned into so much more and is now a place where I can let out my creativity, meet new people, broaden my skills as a writer, stylist, photographer. I like to think that WITV is just about life in general and the clothes we wear whilst we stumble through it.
How did you first get into fashion and blogging?
Like I said blogging for me was essentially about driving traffic to my store, but the one thing that really pushed me into wanting to do it was stalking other blogs. I've been a huge fan of Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage forever now and I used to look at her blog and think: 'I can do that.' So one 40 degree summer day I did!
Where are some of your favourite places to shop?
There has never been a stage in my life where I've had loads of disposable income so thrift stores are a big one for me. I live in a tiny coastal town where people aren't really in tune with just how wonderful charity/thrift stores are, so I always find some really great pieces just waiting to come home with me. I also really love ASOS, they always have some sort of sale on and it's free shipping! What more could you want?
I love Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage, she just has a way of pairing pieces together that blows me away. Margaret from Shine By Three is another one of my frequent haunts, I love the way she incorporates her life and daily anecdotes into her posts. My all time favourite however has to be Leandra from 'The Man Repeller' anyone who can so fearlessly just be themselves is alright in my books. She's loud and a little bit crude but never apologizes for it. I would love to be as self confident as she is.
Aprilia from Aprilia Love wants to know: If there was any city you could live and blog from, which would it be and why?
Paris. Without a doubt. I've heard lots of people say that there are certain places in the world that you just 'connect' with. Last year when I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful city I remember thinking 'I could live here.' I'm currently making plans to save up and visit next year (hopefully for Fashion Week, but we'll see)
What should we ask the next interviewee?
If there was one brand/person/company you could work with through your blog, who would it be and why?
