Tell us a little about yourself and your blog.
I’m a 14-year-old boy and aspiring journalist living in Sydney. Mint Maison began as a place where I could express myself and publish my two cents on fashion, and has served the same purpose ever since.

How did you first get into fashion and blogging?
Writing and fashion have both been interests of mine since I was young, and I don’t quite know why. My first introduction to blogging was a few years ago, when I was into designing websites. I’d seen a few blogs and found the concept really interesting. It wasn’t until a friend told me about Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast, that I took an interest in fashion blogging.

Where are some of your favourite places to shop?
Anywhere there’s a sale, I’m not even kidding. I get most of my stuff on sale because it’s hard to afford a pair of $900 Prada brogues when you’re a 14 year old without a job. When I really want something, I tend to go to places like Zara, and do most of my online shopping on ASOS and Urban Outfitters. While it isn’t about the price, my plan this year is to buy less, but buy better quality.

Which bloggers do you look up to and why?
It always changes. At one stage I was obsessed with Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast, then it was Leandra Medine from The Man Repeller. I’m following about 200 blogs on Bloglovin’ and they’re all bloggers I look up to. What attracts me to a blogger is their voice. I like feeling as though I’m talking to a friend about fashion. If I want a formal review, I’ll go to Style.com.

Isabel from Metallic Paws wants to know: Fashion-related must-haves for this season?
It’s all about boyish dressing. Audrey Hepburn was the inspiration for so many designers, and it’s such an easy trend to follow. You’ll definitely want to invest in a good button-down and a pair of cropped pants. Of course, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, you can raid your boyfriend/brother’s wardrobe.

What should we ask the next interviewee?
What trend would you like to see more people following?
